Description
Right... I'd like to get a few things sorted first, before i go on about the scarification itself.
1) I'm in no way, promoting or advising people to go out, or stay in and hurt themselves. This modification was proformed by a professional, in a licensed and sterile area.
2) Although I can't control who does see this, if you do show other people then use some sense with who you show.
Right... i think i've covered what i wanted to say there... now onto the good stuff
I've had a small section started today, but what i've had done, will eventually go all the way round my lower leg. The proceedure took around 1hr 30mins in total.
I opted for anethstetic, quite simply because i thought it would be more sensible thing, so that took about 40mins to kick in.
The First 10mins i was sweating like a bastard... it feels kind of like when you have the outline done for a tattoo, smarts a bit, but its not to bad. The Actual peeling doesn't hurt much at all, well untill he got to the edge of the stips. I think its one of those kinds of pains you forget about... like piercings and tats... the adrenlin rush afterwards erases it, and makes you want more
The aftercare is going to be interesting to say the least
This ongoing project, is both in the interest for me as a photography (of sorts lol) and as someone who enjoys the body mod scene. As I said in my first point, i'm not promoting anyone to do this to themselves... It was done by a professional.
And to that professional I also thank for starting, and eventually as time goes on finishing it... thank you.

I love this and that you've actually written about it. I am at the same sort of point myself, being a photography (student though) and wanting to become more heavily involved in the body modification scene. Scarification has always attracted me personally as well as a photographic sense (as has Suspension) and I really love your piece =]
